[S2] Cord Maker

  • This product is the tool which generate Sculpt Map!
  • Converts 3~15 balls into 1 corded sculpty prim!
  • You can select the surface of section from 5 shapes.
    ( Circle, Square, Triangle, Square (Rounded Corners), Small Circle )

But new sculpted prim does not directly appear in front of you. At first, display and save the SCLUPT MAP (an image of the rainbow color) outside Second Life with data output by this tool. Next, you upload the sculpt map and use to prim edition. you meet the sculpted prim at last :)

NOTICE : This tool uses the internet browser. IE is available for only IE8 as latest version. The other browsers (Firefox, Opera, and Chrome) are available for any version.

At first, rez the tool on ground.

Then, click the blue button to rez the ball.

Please arrange 3~15 balls on the curve that you want. The size of the ball becomes the diameter of cord.

Click "number" button, and click the ball in turn to number all of the balls.

Select the surface of section from 5 shapes. ( Circle, Square, Triangle, Square (Rounded Corners), Small Circle )

Click "preview" button to confirm preview of the curve of the cord.

If building is completed, you click the red button to check that balls.

Select "Yes" button.

If there is not a problem, select the "Generate" button to generate Sculpt Map data.

Then Sculpt Map data is genetrated in Local Chat window. Please wait for a while until all data are output.

If all data are output, drag chat text by mouse cursor from "<html>" to "</html>", and copy it to clipboard. (Ctrl+C or Command+C)

Launch the text editor (for example Notepad) outside Second Life, and paste the text data into the editor.

Save the file as plain text. Please enter the file name extension ".htm".

Double click the file saved, and launch the internet browser. The Sculpt map image (rainbow color) is displayed. Right-click and save the image as BMP from the menu that appears.

Upload the image file to Second Life. You have to tick "Use lossless compression" option when you upload the image file!

Build a new prim on the ground. Open the edit window and select "Object" tab, select "Sculpted" in "Building Block Type". And drag the image data (sculpt map) to "Sculpt Texture" area.

In Local Chat window, the size of sculpted prim is displayed as "Sculpted prim size: < x.xxxxxx, y.yyyyyy, z.zzzzzz >". Please resize the prim that you want.


This tool will be useful if you want to make the object which fitted your body.

Some sculpted prims made with this tool are placed in my shop. Please come and check it!

i am dutch i did a try to translate to japanese hope you can read it, i am very happy with the cord maker but it not work anymore like it must be working , textures not fit anymore to they are outlined , it looks like the sculpt are, let we say 20 linked cylinders .
can you look what is going on please ty ;-)

Was despairing about ever making cords in SL till I tried your cord maker. Kust followed the instructions and with some ajustments to the scuplt afterwards .....Yea a perfect cord for my creation. Thx you are the MAN!
